A reforestation programme within the Lotus quarry itself — proof that mining and greenery can go hand in hand.
Since 2011, PT Lotus SG Lestari has implemented a Reforestation Programme within its own quarry area — creating a “Green Mining” image where mining and greenery go hand in hand.
The programme has successfully grown fruit species including Durian and Mangosteen, with seedlings brought in directly from Penang, Malaysia — alongside Banana, Rambutan, Mango, Kueni, Jackfruit and Cempedak, many of which are now harvested seasonally.
